I coveried the effects of the BP oil "spill" from July of 2010 through 2015. I've spoken on this at University of Georgia (Jan., "Building Bridges in Crisis", along with reporters from NPR, the New York Times and CNN), and met dozens of affected individuals in the Gulf. They're hurting. Many are sick. Many of them have sick children or grandchildren. Dophins wash up dead. And yet, BP hires people in the Gulf to paint a rosy picture. This is one issue that drives me. Other environmental issues such as climate change affect the entire world every day. Don't get me started on plastic bags or plastic in general. And this computer I'm typing on? I'll make sure it's recycled responsibly. But what happens to all the other e-waste? If these are the questions you're also asking, call me.
